ZINKA is a Japanese taiko performance group from Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, Japan.
Our performances combine powerful taiko rhythms with dynamic stage energy.
In 2011, the Kanazawa siblings formed “Wadaiko ZINKA.” With the unspoken harmony and unique worldview that only siblings can achieve, they have expanded their activities primarily in Hokkaido, throughout Japan, and even overseas. Known for their consistent rhythms and energetic performances, “Hokkai Taiko” is also designated a folk cultural asset of Noboribetsu City, Hokkaido. After the group disbanded, “Hokkai Ideyu Taiko” was formed to carry on the techniques of the late Oba Itto, founder of Hokkai Taiko. Following the disbandment, the Kanazawa siblings continued the legacy of their leader, the late Kondo Norifumi, and the late Kunimatsu brothers.
In April 2026, they expanded their membership and began performing as a group. They aim to maximize the individuality and traditions of each member in their performances, ushering in a new chapter as they take on the world.
